Gina is a medical doctor and a tiger shifter, but not just
any shifter; she is a royal tigre blanche or white tiger.
These are the tigers blessed by the Goddess to rule the
tiger shifters or so the legend goes. Right now she is
worried about the patient she is rushing to her parents'
fortress. They are the only people in the world she knows
who can help; the true exiled king and queen of the clan.
She only prays she is not bringing danger to their
doorsteps. They are quickly heading to the KING'S THRONE
without even realizing it.
Mitchell Thorburn is a tigre d'or, a Royal Guard. He has
been guarding the panther queen, until he is poisoned and
brought to Gina for help. Now despite all she knows to do,
he is not healing. Mitch knows he's in trouble but in his
lucid moments he is comforted by Gina's presence. It is
touch and go for awhile, but he heals. Then something
miraculous happens to him ... instead of being his golden
colored tiger he is now blanche. Unsure of what this all
means for the future, one he secretly hopes will include
Gina, Mitch will accept whatever the Goddess and the exiled
royalty expect of him.
KING'S THRONE is in one word amazing! Author Bianca D'Arc
takes us into her shifter world, sliding us into a slightly
different realm with nonstop action and multiple surprises.
We are introduced to Gina and Mitch while they are on the
run and fed bits of background while continuing at a
remarkably fast pace. I love Mitch's deference to the
royal family, Gina included, at first, because he feels as
an orphaned guard he is not worthy of the princess, but
later the mate thing takes over and ... oh my ... they are
shall we say "purrfect" together.
You will also be surprised that the battle with the bad guy
is not the end of this book but really only the beginning of
the restructure that Mitch and Gina must do to save their
people. As usual Ms. D'Arc's secondary characters blend
wonderfully, giving Mitch the family and past he wants as
well as the added support they both need to right the wrongs
done in the name of greed.
KING'S THRONE is Ms. D'Arc's second book of her String of
Fate series (Cat's Cradle was the first), and I am
already anxiously waiting for the next one to see what
happens to Ria the panther queen as it is hinted in the
epilogue of KING'S THRONE.
SUMMARY

is that she's also tiger-shifter royalty, living in exile.
Keeping her secret has kept her safe, but all that is about
to change. An injured soldier who heals in a way that makes him more

strange place, with a beautiful woman. Normally, not a
problem, but this woman is special. She's a white tiger and
daughter of the lost tiger king. She's too good for the
likes of him, but there's an undeniable spark of attraction
drawing them closer and closer. A love that will make the very earth tremble beneath their
feet... When evil challenges, Mitch will fight to keep Gina safe. A
harrowing journey to the side of a living volcano brings
secret knowledge and a power none of them ever expected.
Will it be enough to prevail? Only victory will keep his lady safe. And only victory will
allow Gina to claim the man she truly loves.
