RODEO REBEL is actually a prequel to a new series about a family -- the Texas Rodeo Barons -- who are a group of siblings whose lives revolve around rodeo which is a scary, competitive and extremely risky career path -- certainly not one to enter into lightly. These risk takers need a huge support group and luckily the Baron siblings are a strong passionate amazing group who fit the bill. Donna Alward uses RODEO REBEL as the vehicle to introduce a few Baron siblings -- just enough to whet our appetite for more.

The story in RODEO REBEL centers on Megan Robertson and Pax Landry who share a past. A past that ended poorly with nothing resolved just a broken heart and several unanswered questions.

The mistakes of youth are full of pride which can definitely put a kibosh on a relationship. Young love takes a lot of patience and nurturing neither ever present in our youth. Simply put Pax made decisions that impacted both their lives.

Fast forward to the present and situations brought these two back together forcing them to face the reality of their separation all these years. Perhaps by being honest with each other Pax and Megan can finally come to grips with their past -- their current lives and maybe come up with a new plan for their future.

Donna Alward fans are going to be delighted with this new series about these brave crazy people that participant in the extreme sport of rodeo. Alward loves to engage her characters in some of the best dialog in romance and this remains the case in RODEO REBEL.

In previewing this series it should be noted that several talented western romance writers will lend their hands in bringing you some very entertaining stories starring the Baron's.

SUMMARY

The Barons, six tight-knit siblings—loud, daring and loyal—are about to discover that love can be as rough as the rodeo. Bestselling author Donna Alward introduces the exciting Texas Rodeo Barons series with her charming prequel novella, Rodeo Rebel.

Back in the ring

As the first female bull rider in her circuit, Megan Robertson needs to focus. But all she can think about is her ex, Pax Lantry. Megan knew their paths would cross again—she just wasn't prepared for the effect it would have on her. More surprising than the old heartache is the jolt of pure attraction she still feels for him.

Even after five years, Pax has never gotten over Megan. All it takes is seeing her, just once, for him to know that their connection is as strong as ever. But he's committed to his family's ranch and Meg has her own demanding career. It seems as if Pax and Megan have moved on, so why can't they let each other go?

Don't miss the first heartwarming novel in the Texas Rodeo Barons series, The Texan's Baby.
