Sally Grace is a witch who doesn't know a lot about her
family except her mother was a witch and not a very nice
person. In an attempt to escape the dungeon of the Anasso
(king of all vampires) she put a spell on one of her guards
so he would help her escape. How was she to know that it
would accidentally kick in a mating with Roke? After
learning she is half demon she must HUNT THE DARKNESS to
find a way to release the vampire before it is too late.
She has never trusted anyone but the more she sees of Roke
the more she wants to trust him and the more she wants the
mating to be real and not just a spell.
Roke was only following the Anasso's orders and finds
himself mated to a witch. He hates witches. The mating
might be only caused by a spell but the pull for the
runaway Sally sends him chasing after her. On top of it all
he has to endure the company of the irritating mini
gargoyle Levet. What is a vampire to do? He wants only to
return to his clan in Nevada and get on with life ... but
the
world is conspiring against him. There are demons
pretending to be other demons, magic boxes, and even his
own clan are out to make his life miserable. It is only the
moments with his mate that make it all worthwhile and leads
him to think maybe having a willful, strong mate isn't such
a bad idea.
HUNT THE DARKNESS is a delight. It is romance personified
with the perfect touches of gruff yet tender alpha male
vampire, the strong but hopeful witch and the sizzling
affect they have on each other. Throw in the comedic relief
of our favorite little gargoyle and beings with their own
agenda's and you have HUNT THE DARKNESS.
Author Alexandra
Ivy takes us back to her Guardians of Eternity series
picking up where Darkness Avenged left off. I loved Roke
but I admit it was also fun to watch his cool, calm control
slip a number of times where Sally was concerned and also
to watch him begin to face the fact that he didn't care if
it was a spell ... her as his mate felt real to him. After
reading about Sally's past I began to believe, with her
strength and spirit, she is the perfect match for him.
Anyone who has gone through what she did certainly deserves
the happiness they can have together. It is always nice to
see the characters from past books and have them once again
in action. This book is a whirlwind ride that is nonstop
and very pleasing but it does have one draw back ... you
will
be pining for the next one. Great job Alexandra Ivy ... keep
them coming.
The vampire Roke is raw, sensual, always in control. Yet
somehow he's allowed the unthinkable to happen: a nymph-like
witch named Sally has used her magic to trick Roke into
mating with her. The pair will remain bound for eternity
unless Sally breaks the spell. The trouble is, she has no
idea how. . .
Mating with Roke was an accident;at least that's what Sally
keeps telling herself. She's on the hunt for her demon
father, whose identity holds the key to releasing the spell.
The search won't be easy with Roke shadowing Sally's every
move. As they mate with a ferocity that leaves them both
aching for more, Sally isn't sure if her world is more
dangerous without Roke--or with him. . .
