Romance

Book four in the Marked Men series features the hard- working nurse named Saint Ford and the player, Nash Donovan.

In high school, Saint was the shy girl who blushed every time she encountered Nash. One night, they are both invited to the same party. Saint hopes that this will be the night she finally gets to spend some time with Nash. But when a nasty girl spews insults at her and he simply stands there, Saint's heart is shattered into pieces and she vows never to fall in love again.

Years later, Nash Donovan finds himself in the hospital, worried sick about his Uncle Phil. This is where Saint and Nash cross paths one again and this time, it looks like Nash refuses to let her go.

In this sweet and sultry story of young love, Jay Crownover delivers yet another absorbing romance that features her delicious bad boys. However, I would say that Nash comes across as a very nice guy. He is in a very vulnerable place and relies on Saint a lot through his personal tragedy. I enjoyed the way he always tried his best to search for a better way of living. Readers can expect the same family drama that has become part of this series. Uncle Phil isn't who Nash thinks he is and that will ultimately change how he sees him.

Saint has her own set of problems concerning her past. While she takes a bit longer to make progress with that, by the end, I felt that her issues were resolved well.

What I enjoy about this series is that these characters have been introduced in the first book of the series and readers have seen them grow and expand throughout. Crownover's characters are constantly evolving so it is nice to see updates on the previous couples as well.

In a fabulous book end to Rule, NASH resolves many unanswered questions, leaving readers feeling satisfied by the end. Crownover's flawed characters are endearing, sexy and redeemable, a wonderful combination to have in New Adult.

SUMMARY

From New York Times bestselling author Jay Crownover comes the fourth book in the Marked Men series. Saint Ford has worked hard to achieve her childhood dream of becoming of nurse. Focused on her work and devoted to her patients, there’s no room for love. She doesn’t need a guy making waves in her calm, serene life—especially when he’s the unforgettable hottie who nearly destroyed her in high school. Dark, brooding Nash Donovan might not remember her or the terrible pain he caused. But he turned her world upside down . . . and now he’s trying to do it again. Saint has no idea that Nash isn’t the cocky player he once was. Uncovering a devastating family secret has rocked his world, and now he’s struggling to figure out his future. He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them—or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on—especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense. When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?
