Romance Paranormal

After being kidnapped and raised in a research facility, Jett was taught that his demon race are monstrous and violent. When a friendship forms between Jett and the archangel Rafael, Jett begins to realize that everything he had been taught may not be true, and he helps Rafael get home.

Since helping Rafael escape the research facility, Jett has set up a home for himself in the woods just outside of the Sanctuary colony. He protects the archangels, but doesn't realize that he is doing it.

When the same human who kidnapped Jett captures another young demon from Sanctuary, Jett wants his own justice, but he will need to overcome his past and join forces with the Guardians and the young demon child's older sister, Lexine.

The attraction rapidly grows between Jett and Lexine. However, Lexine's dreams of being mated make her wary of anyone. When Lexine catches Jett without his shirt, she realizes that he is the one from her dreams.

While their relationship heats up, Lexine's dream changes. She dreams of Jett's death. Although she had told Jett she didn't want to be mated, she feels she changed his future enough to stop his death. It is only when she finds out that he is headed to confront the human doctor who held him captive that she realizes he will die. She must do everything in her power to save him.

Sarah Gilman is a new author for me. I really enjoyed DEEP IN CRIMSON. I find Sarah Gilman's take on angels and demons very interesting and unique. Most pit the angels against the demons, but in the Return to Sanctuary series, they are working together. You just can't help but fall in love with the characters in DEEP IN CRIMSON. The story line is suspenseful and entertaining.

The Return to Sanctuary series by Sarah Gilman is different from anything out there. I would highly recommend checking this series out!

SUMMARY

Kidnapped by humans and raised in a research facility, Jett was taught to believe his own race of demons insidious and violent. But a friendship with the archangel Raphael shatters Jett’s reality. Caught between two worlds, his first months of freedom find him lingering on the fringes of his home colony, Sanctuary.

When the human who stole Jett captures another demon youth from Sanctuary, Jett learns of the real plan—to steal Raphael’s archangel grandchildren. Jett wants to bring his captor to justice, but he must overcome the lies from his past and join forces with the demon Guardians, and the demon child’s older sister, Lexine.

Irresistible attraction grows between Jett and Lexine, but Lexine’s prophetic dreams of being mated to a poacher make her wary. And if Jett goes through the all-consuming process of becoming a Guardian, he may forfeit any chance they have of being together.
