Michaela Ramirez, is a slayer and dhampir (half vampire and
half human). She follows the rules that to her are only
black and white, but she is learning that there is a gray
area. Even more important she finds that there are people
who are willing to DIE FOR LOVE.
Jesus Hernandez, FBI Assistant Director in Charge, has
learned a lot on the job. There are vampires, werewolves
and slayers but still secret to the outside world, he just
happens to have friends and co-workers who are these
beings. He also has a conflicted lover who is a slayer,
though she is starting to feel things that make him hopeful
that she will stay with him.
Two of Jesus' friends are facing a terrible crisis ... some
time ago Diana was shot and contaminated by her lover's
blood (while he was trying to protect her) and since then
she has been slowly dying. Her pregnancy has complicated
things though for awhile it seemed to help. Now it is
becoming a crisis ... she is dying and the only thing that
will save her is if Ryder turns her. That act in itself
might also be a problem. Michaela could be ordered by the
Slayer Council to kill Ryder if he does turn Diana.
But Michaela is starting to question the hard cold rules of
the Slayer's Council. She is also facing a crisis of her
own. Years ago her vampire father had killed her mother in
front of her, she herself was only saved by chance, and
since then she has been searching for him. Suddenly he is
here and he knows about her but worst of all he begins
taunting her and threatening those she cares about. Has
becoming friends with Diana, Ryder and lover of Jesus
weakened her ... or does love make you stronger?
DIE FOR LOVE is a compelling captivating read that takes
you to a world that you would love to visit again and
again. There is so much going on but author Caridad
Pineiro, keeps everything in line, leading you through this
fantastic read. The reader gets to peek into the lives of
those we have fallen in love with throughout the other
Reborn books. The action is fierce with the finale with her
father just what he deserves. There are a number of
surprising twists ... especially for Michaela and more so
for
the Slayer Council. I enjoyed watching Michaela grow in
love and strength until she is ready to do whatever she
must to protect those she has grown to love. If this is the
first of this series you have read you will want to grab up
the others and settle back to enjoy an amazing ride.
SUMMARY

edge as she imagines the possibility of a life full of
happiness and passion with her handsome boss by her side…and
in her bed. Living without the one they love isn’t an option. But soon trouble comes calling as the vampire she hunts
makes Michaela his prey. Now Michaela finds herself in a
battle not only for her own life, but for her friends lives
as well, as she and Ryder both make the difficult decision
to break all the rules for love.
