"When the reality show winner meets the stud farm owner, sparks fly!"

Romance Contemporary

We've read fantasies about stunningly good-looking guys, so what makes this book different? Combine a reality TV show winner with an ethically run stud farm and you see the possibilities for entertainment.

MY SECRET FANTASIES introduces Miranda Cortland who left a farm to work waitressing while trying to make the Hollywood big time. Some advertising and bit parts later, she landed a spot in a last-girl-out reality show. Now the surprise winner is running from the media who dug up old rivalries to make her sound unpopular. She'd also rather a creepy past boyfriend didn't find her. All in all, opening a tea- room at a northern California Thoroughbred breeding centre sounds like a good way to invest her winnings.

Damien Fraser, working long hours to make his stud farm a success, would be happy to let space to a suitable business. Only, the so-called 'Nebraska Backstabber' is not the sort of person he wants around, what with her gaudy, impractical clothes, flighty reputation and knack of drawing the wrong kind of attention. He's sorry that Miranda's driven all the way up here, and he'll give her a room for the night, but after that she'll have to leave the premises.

One event follows another - a foal is born overnight, expensive horse-owning guests arrive out of the blue, and the media turns the peaceful barns into a circus. I liked and identified with both main characters. Damien retrains and sells on for riding racehorses who didn't make the grade, which as Miranda discovers make exceptional mounts. Damien learns that Miranda hasn't come so far from the farm girl and has excellent cooking skills. Then there's the erotic novel she's determined to write on her laptop, to persuade herself that she can be a passionate person... and who better to star in it than Damien?

The only fault I find is that we are never really in doubt that the situation will resolve itself well for Miranda and Damien. They have so much in common that it's clear they'll make a great couple. We all know relationships like that and it does make for a very believable romance. Joanne Rock has written an enjoyable sizzling-hot adult romance for up-to-date readers, but the old-fashioned elements are there with a girl determined to be self- supporting and free of an uneasy past, and a strong man who does actually need a woman. Give MY SECRET FANTASIES a try and have some fun.

SUMMARY

Fantasy come to life…

All I wanted was to escape the media frenzy I left behind in L.A. and open a cute little shop on the Sonoma Coast. Simple, right? But Damien Fraser—the hunky property owner—isn't exactly thrilled about my reality-TV-star status. Still, I'm pretty sure that all he needs is a little creative convincing…and I've learned I can be very creative.

I started writing a naughty novel, and with every sexy scene I write, things between me and Damien get really hot. Now the hero in my book is starting to look more and more like Damien, and I'm well on my way to becoming my brazen sexpot heroine. But when my real life and my fictional life collide, my fantasies just might cost me all of my dreams….
