This exciting trio of romance novellas has a science
fiction theme and the three authors previously collaborated
on another such collection. These stories follow on from
stories in that collection 'Hotter on The Edge' but can be
read separately. GOLD LIKE THE SUN by Erin Kellison shows two cousins
arguing over the lovely Earth girl whom one of them has
married. They are not at all sure that it is right to bring
her to a hub in deep space, where boredom and isolation has
produced some exotic temptations. They don't understand
that Pilar has been the target of assassination attempts
and is capable of defending herself, and even though it's a
corporate marriage, she finds her husband Hakan extremely
attractive. This is a complex story of business and
betrayal. TO KEEP A WIFE by KC Klein shows a battle for a farmhouse.
Inside the building, a woman named Lake has developed a
secret formula to help healing and slow ageing. She knows
her little family cannot hold off the attackers so she
tells her husband Hudson - who is already injured - and
young brother Vonn to hide in a secret compartment and when
she has been captured, Hudson can come and search for her.
Secretly all she wants is to stop him from being killed,
and this is the only way. Lake's people are Rebels who
don't want the men to be conscripted into the brutal Elder
armies. Grudgingly she complies with Elder demands and
waits, hoping against hope to be rescued. PRINCE OF PASSION by Jessica Slade brings Icere to a water
world, where he drinks and sails with the beautiful young
people. Rynn, a queen and mother genetically adapted to her
ocean, recognises Icere as one of the last of his race, the
l'aurylo who were modified by use of crystals. She finds
him incredibly alluring, but she's got a festival to run,
shellfish to guard and the famous Malac liqueur to harvest,
while he's got business on his mind, not pleasure. Stormy
weather ahead. This adult romance collection HOTTER ON THE EDGE 2 is
definitely written for the reader who counts interstellar
travel and bioshocking giant anemones among their
interests. There are excerpts from books by these authors
and details of their other works. It's good to see that
love will thrive in the far future!
