Jazzy Cannis was born with the ability to shift into wolf
form; her sister does not have that ability. They might be
twins but they are very different and very close. At a
Halloween party Jazzy meets her sister's co-worker Dr.
Chase Holliday and falls head over heels. Then she finds
this veterinarian's research is to eradicate the gene that
allows shifters to shift. Jazzy loves her ability and
doesn't want to lose it but the Doc is hot. What can she
do? Should she throw herself at him and say MAKE ME HOWL.
Or should she do the smart thing and run.
Chase Holliday's research is important to him but one look
at the gorgeous, sexy Jazzy has other thoughts racing in
his head. Even after finding out her ability to shift he's
hooked, but the Doc has a problem. He can never let himself
lose control ... it was ingrained in him from birth ... to
always be in control in any situation. Jazzy makes him want
to let lose. Secrets make for a lot of misunderstandings
and a lot of heartbreak. Can any of this be fixed before
it's too late?
MAKE ME HOWL is an intriguing, humor filled paranormal
romance. Jazzy and Doc are an interesting match that
shouldn't work but some how they do with a few
misunderstandings and screw-up or two. I enjoyed the fun
and different feel to this storyline. That said, I did find
myself on occasion going back through pages to try to
figure out a particular situation because I was a little
lost and at other times flipping through too much detail on
shoes, clothes and makeup that didn't interest me and
seemed to be just filling pages. It was my interest in
seeing what happened to the mismatched couple that kept me
reading. MAKE ME HOWL is different in a number of ways and
if you can overlook a little bit too much information or
sometimes not enough of the needed context of the book it
is a good read.
When Chase Holliday's gaze first met mine, something tingled
on my end. He was hot. Dark blue eyes, a square jaw, hair
that was just a little too long, and he had this way of
focusing that made me wonder if I should attack or run.
And I never run.
Together we'd make a pair anyone would sit up and notice. At
least that's what I thought before I learned that he planned
to wipe werewolves from the face of the planet. And since I
was born with an active werewolf gene, well, let's just say
our twain could never meet. Then a Blood Moon occurred while
I was in heat and all my hard earned control went slamming
out the window with me right behind it. That's when I
learned that, like wolves in nature, werewolves mate for life.
