Romance

Allegra Wilks and long time family friend Flint have canceled their wedding, and she just lost her biggest client. Instead of canceling the honeymoon, Allegra takes the trip to Palm Bay in order to land the campaign for Kaluna Resorts to ensure she doesn't loose her company she has worked so hard to build.

Jett Halcott has just been betrayed by the his long time friend and business partner. He needs to land the Kaluna Resorts campaign to restore his professional name. Otherwise, he will loose everything he worked so hard for. When a trail of fine lingerie in the airport leads him to the broken zipper on a suitcase belonging to intriguing Allegra Wilks.

Their attraction is immediate and their passion, explosive. Allegra is use to controlling everything in her life and this sexy Aussie hunk is throwing her off. After figuring out they are both headed to Palm Bay, Jett sees a challenge in Allegra that he can't seem to pass up.

Once landed their attraction for one another heats up even more. Just as things are getting steamy, Allegra realizes that they are both going after the same client. What is worse, his pitch is identical to the one she was preparing. Since she needs this client as much as he does, she changes her entire pitch to give him a chance and not to seem like she took his idea.

The more time they spend together the more they find that not only are they exceptional in bed together, but out of bed too. Their feelings for each other are becoming more than just this island affair they both intended it to be. When Jett finds out that Allegra didn't tell him that she is his competition, he is beyond hurt and Allegra can't blame him. Her only hope is that her plan to help them both pays off.

I really enjoyed WICKED HEAT. The characters are great people who banter with each other for some laughable moments and some steamy love scenes. Nicola Marsh is a new author for me, but I can not wait to read the next book. I just hope its Zoe's story.

SUMMARY

Overview

Competitors by day, lovers by night… Allegra Wilks has had the worst month of her personal and professional life. To save her company, she must go on her would-be honeymoon and land the luxury eco-island resort’s lucrative advertising account. But when a lingerie mishap leads her into the arms of a wickedly distracting Australian, Allegra’s tempted to skip the trip and explore the most sensual kiss she’s ever experienced. Too bad their chance encounter at the airport is just that.

Having recently lost his company to his former best friend’s shady business tactics, Jett Halcott is headed to a South Pacific resort to secure an advertising account that will resurrect his reputation and career. Realizing the tantalizing Allegra Wilks is on his flight, Jett envisions a week filled with business and pleasure. But Jett doesn’t know Allegra’s fighting for the same account, or that there’s more at stake than his heart.
