Romance Contemporary

FOR THE LOVE OF MAGIC by Janet Chapman is the fifth book in her Spellbound Falls series. It is the story of Rana and Titus. After forty years of marriage Rana has run away from her husband and her life. She didn't run away very far, but far enough, she thinks, to get out from under his thumb. Titus can't believe what she has done. He has always given her everything she could possibly want which is why he can't believe she would walk away from all of that. Determined, he sets off to win her back.

Rana has been in love with Titus for almost her whole life. She has been married to him since she was fifteen. Since then she has been cared for and protected by Titus. Before that it was her father. She wants to be independent and on her own to experience life without Titus. She has a great group of ladies that she hangs out with in Spellbound Falls and she lets Titus know that even though she loves him very much she needs to do this and do it on her own.

I love the way Janet writes about magic and reality together and FOR THE LOVE OF MAGIC does not disappoint. Rana is a mortal and Titus is a god. This is a really fun book and you have to feel bad for Titus as he doesn't have a clue what Rana is feeling or why she is acting the way she is. You will also be introduced to two new heroes and one female.

Overall I really enjoyed FOR THE LOVE OF MAGIC and was instantly caught up in Rana and Titus' story. They obviously still love each other very much and what they put each other through is hysterical. So many secrets keep the story very interesting. All of your favorite Spellbound Falls residents are in this book as their stories continue while Titus and Rana discover the reasons why they love each other so much and for so long. I can not wait for the next book in this delightful series.

SUMMARY

After forty years of marriage, Rana Oceanus has done the unthinkable and run away from her mighty, magical husband. Not that she ran very far, having purchased a house in Spellbound Falls right on the shore of the Bottomless Sea, where she intends to prepare for the scariest battle of her life. The only flaw in her plan, however, is that she is still very much in love with Titus?

Shocked and deeply shaken that his wife really has left him?though he still can't fathom why?Titus sets out to win her back. But when grand gestures of his esteem don't seem to further his cause, he conjures up some of his original courtship magic.

But his plan backfires when Titus discovers that dealing with demons is far less threatening than the little secret his very mortal wife has been keeping from him...
