Romance Suspense

Jack Stone, former Marine sniper and now agent for NSA, has a new face, new name and new life but a big part of him still clung to his past. The memories of Sophie Moreno, someone from his past as Sam Kelly when both were caught up in the foster system, still held sway over his heart. He hadn't been able to protect her from one of those foster homes and in anger she said she hated him. Now he finds that his Sophie may be TARGETED by someone he can protect her from and nothing will stop him.

Sophie works for a medical supply company but some of the flight logs and supply lists aren't matching up. She slips into the hangar of the flight company they use and took pictures, but was almost caught by men who were not part of the security. Now having seemingly been betrayed by her boss she doesn't know where to turn.

When Jack Stone shows up as the flight company's silent partner, she feels an immediate attraction for this man. When people start shooting at them she very quickly realizes that he is not a partner, but is he someone she can trust? It doesn't take long to realize that this man who reminds her so much of her "Sam," seems to know his way around this dangerous world she has been flung into. With betrayal and secrets bombarding them both, will they manage to make it through this alive? And possibly be together?

TARGETED is fast paced, spine tingling and action packed ... and that's only the first chapter. Jack and Sophie are both gutsy with their hearts still belonging to each other, though only he has the advantage of knowing who he was before the "death" of Sam. I couldn't put the book down as each page brought another scenario of some kind of action or more of the background concerning this amazing couple. This is book one of author Katie Reus's new Deadly Ops Novels and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one.
