Drusilla is the sister to the Vampire King of Terra Noctem
and basically second in command. The whole town had been
forced to move after almost being overrun by Lucifer and
his demons. Now settled beneath Miami she hopes things will
finally calm down at least for awhile. Little does she know
that she is about to awaken THE DEMON'S DESIRE.
Meresin, the Fallen Angel of Storms, is at the end of
everyone's rope including his own. He is one of the Fallen
brothers who have sworn to protect the people of Terra
Noctem in exchange for sanctuary. Unfortunately for
Meresin, his lightening enhanced body and his temper is
getting way out of control. He really does try to stay away
from everyone especially Dru. Even when he prepares to
leave Terra Noctem to try to find help with his poor
control, things go wrong. He is attacked by a flame-sword
welding vampire and Dru is mortally wounded. The only way
to save her is to bind her to him. He cannot stand and
watch her die so despite his misgivings he saves her. Their
journey together to get him help opens both their eyes to
miracles.
THE DEMON'S DESIRE jumps immediately off the pages on the
run and doesn't stop until the last page. Meresin is badly
conflicted, full of angst, an angel who feels he doesn't
deserve Dru, and the vampire lets him know she will feel
what she wants and it's just too bad if he doesn't like it.
Author Kendra Leigh Castle's Hearts of the Fallen
Series is
a must read if you are into bad boy angels, kick-butt
action, steamy sex and sword fights with evil demons. If
you have not read Demon Song, book 1 of the series, you
might feel a little lost in the beginning trying to figure
out all the participants of the story but soon you will be
caught up in Meresin and Dru that details won't worry you
at all. I can't wait to see which of the Fallen is the
next target for this author.
He’s as dark and dangerous as the storms he once
commanded…and she can’t get him out of her
heart.
Dru has spent two thousand years fighting
to keep the people of Terra Noctem safe. In all that time,
she's only opened her heart to one man, with disastrous
results. But when her city takes in a group of renegade
Fallen, she finds herself drawn to the brooding and
tormented Meresin, despite the fact that he seems to be the
least redeemable of them all. When his instability hits a
breaking point, Meresin’s only chance at survival is a
perilous journey into a place from which few ever return.
What he never expected was that confronting his demons would
mean risking not only his future, but Dru's as well...and
that one stubborn vampire might give him back not just
hope…but his heart.
