Romance Paranormal
Fiona Meadows might be a virgin but she isn't helpless.
When she is kidnapped by a vampire with plans to use her at
a "frenzy," a party that only the vampires survive, she
fights back. She hasn't taken years of martial arts for
nothing. She has the HEART OF A WARRIOR and doesn't take
prisoners.
Nicodemus, Nic, has been killing vampires since he was
orphaned at 16. He is very good at his job and kind of
likes the hero worship that comes with it, but this time he
is awed by the sight before him ... a sword welding naked
lady who is doing his job for him. Thus begins an
interesting dilemma ...he usually helps the victims forget
that anything happened to them and send them home but this
woman is no victim. In fact she is very definitely a keeper.
As Fiona and Nic begin to work together on finding the two
escaped vampires, they also begin to feel things more
deeply for each other. It even has Fiona thinking very hard
about the "no sex before marriage" plan she has had all her
life. Can they work together and trust each other in this
new world that she has been thrust into?
HEART OF A WARRIOR is a distinctive, fast paced, sexy
slayer book with a number of sneaky twists. Nic and Fiona
are poles apart in attitudes about life, yet are the
perfect match for one another. A real interesting part of
this book is that you really have two in one. Ivan and
Annie, the second couple, are the escaped vampires who work
together to try to survive. Annie had been a slave to one
of the dead vampires and now she is free but doesn't really
have the knowledge to survive on her own. The added bonus
of comedy in the form of a telepathic lizard named Cho, who
can speak and be heard by both Nic and Fiona, will keep you
laughing throughout. Survival is the name of this game and
to see what happens to the two couples you will have to
pick up this book. Just an added note to the author: I got
a kick out of the particular line concerning football, as
someone who follows game I found it an unexpected and
hilarious touch. Theodora Lane is now on my to read list.
SUMMARY
Nicodemus likes to kill vampires. A lot. But his nocturnal
job as a bloodsucker exterminator makes dating rather …
dangerous. Fiona has never needed a man to rescue her and
just because vampires find the prospect of her virginity
delicious doesn’t mean she is going to start now. When
saving each other becomes a habit, Nic and Fiona start on a
path that might make her less tasty and his lone hunter
routine a thing of the past.
Once they pair up battling evil vampires, Nicodemus and
Fiona know the only choice is to kill or be killed, and they
have no intentions of becoming dinner tonight. Are they just
partners or do they each hold their warrior’s heart? When a group of evil vampires meet for dinner and drinks
at a midnight party, virgins may be on the menu, but Fiona never expects to find herself one of the party favors.
She’s never needed a man to rescue her, and she’s never been impressed by manly muscles and heroic deeds…until Nic walks in and definitely gets the job done. She’s awestruck to
meet a man who can hold his own alongside her fighting skills
and feisty attitude. And he's getting under her skin, making
her hot, and making her rethink her "no sex before marriage" policy. Because, yeah, Fiona is a virgin, and she's not giving it away to just anyone. These unlikely comrades in arms might just rescue each other, if the vampires don't kill them first.
