THE HOPE OF SPRING by Wanda E. Brunstetter is book three in
The
Discovery Saga. There are six books in this series and
each one is only
128 pages. This is the story of Luke and Meredith
Stoltzfus. Months ago,
Luke left Pennsylvania to travel by bus to his uncles farm
in Indiana. Along
the way, he is met with tragedy and Meredith is left
wondering how she is
ever going to survive without him. Meredith is struggling
with a difficult
pregnancy and missing her husband who they say has been
declared
dead.
One day while at the Farmers Market, Meredith and her sister
Laurie meet
a young nurse named Susan. Susan just happens to be taking
care of a
patient they call Eddie. He came in badly beaten up and is
in a coma. No
identification on him so they have no idea who he is. If
only Meredith had
talked more to Susan. She might just find out more about
her young
patient.
Meanwhile, Meredith's old friend Jonah is back in town.
They were friends
when they were teenagers and Jonah is still feeling the old
feelings he had
when they were young but how could he ever act in them?
Meredith is still
mourning the death of her husband. Meredith's sister,
Laurie is smitten
with Jonah but does Jonah share her feelings? Meredith is
starting to pick
up on Jonah's feelings and wonders what it would be like to
be with him.
She knows she can never act on these feelings, she still
loves and misses
her husband very much!
Wanda Brunstetter is one of my favorite Amish authors and
THE HOPE OF
SPRING is proof why. Each of these novellas are intense and
each ends
with a cliffhanger. Make sure you have the fourth one, The
Pieces of
Summer so you can continue with the series. I won't give
anything away
but you have to read this series! I love Wanda's
heartwarming reminders in
each book.
Join Meredith and Luke Stoltzfus, an Amish couple who are
faced with the greatest challenge of their young lives. The
Hope of Spring is part three of Wanda E. Brunsetter’s The
Discovery--A Lancaster County Saga.
