Inspirational Romance | Romance Suspense

Computer software that Luke Baldwin hopes to sell to the military has been sabotaged, and he now is facing possible treason charges. Dani Justice is brought in to find out who hacked the software and if Luke is to blame.

Her findings lead her to an old nemesis, the man who killed her former partner when she worked with the FBI. He's known only as "Echo" and he really knows his way around computers and security systems. Dani is determined to solve this case on her own and prove to her family, who are all a part of the Justice Agency Private Investigation team, that she can hold her own on this team. But when someone kills one of her informants and then tries to kill Dani, her siblings move in to keep her safe. Luke is also determined to keep Dani safe with his SEAL military training, but he doesn't have a clue about how to protect her against this hacker. Can they find Echo before he gets to Dani?

THREAD OF SUSPICISION is the fourth book in Susan Sleeman's Justice Agency Series. The story stands alone quite well without having read the other books, but I'm sure they are great reads too. The plot jumps right in with the problem at hand and moves non-stop through the process of solving this suspense story.

Luke and Dani are very strong characters, as are all of the supporting characters, but everyone wants to be in charge which makes for some interesting dialogue throughout the story. It is filled with computer crimes, treason and corporate espionage. Luke and Dani both feel something spark inside of them and a possible romance buds.

Ms. Sleeman brings out the point that we should trust God's timing in everything we do in our lives. We don't always have to be in control. This inspirational suspense is a great read. Add it to your list.

SUMMARY

FALSELY ACCUSED!

When someone sabotages former navy SEAL Luke Baldwin's "unhackable" software, there's more than his reputation at stake. Faced with treason charges, Luke turns to Dani Justice, a computer expert and skilled investigator. She's eager to dive into the challenging case…until she uncovers a devastating connection. The hacker framing Luke has a personal, deadly history with Dani. Luke's code of honor and his growing feelings make him resolved to protect the sweet, strong woman he knows is more vulnerable than she'd admit. But what good is his training or determination against an enemy who can hack into any system and find them wherever they hide?

The Justice Agency: Family and law enforcement go hand in hand
