Romance

VIPER by Patricia A Rasey is a story of hardcore, outlaw motorcycle club made up exclusively of vampires. Kane "Viper" Tepes is the president of the Sons of Sangue motorcycle club based in Pleasant Oregon. His twin brother Kaleb "Hawk" Tepes is VP of the club. They have had a quiet coexistence and understanding with the local Sheriff's office for years. If the Sheriff's office doesn't bother and harass them, they will keep the peace and other motorcycle clubs out of Pleasant. This has worked out well until recently. There have been three murders of young, blonde women- all had their throats cut from ear to ear, and are the preferred female type of Viper.

Cara Brahnam cannot believe her luck. She moves back to her hometown of Pleasant, after being gone for ten years, thinking that being a detective in the small town would be a slower pace than being on the Eugene Oregon police force, she is so wrong. Cara and her partner Det. Joe Hernandez suspect that the Sons of Sangue are somehow involved, more specifically Viper, but they cannot get any proof. To make matters worse there is so much chemistry between Cara and Viper you can feel it in the air when they are around each other. Cara does not want to believe that Viper could be the killer, but she has no one else she can point the finger at. Especially when the ID of the third victim comes back as Tabitha "Tab" Perkins, the known girlfriend for the past three years of Viper. Viper has no idea why he is being set up for these murders or by who, but he has to find out before there are any more. The other problem he is having is trying to stay away from Cara. Hawk is starting to notice how much attention Viper is giving Cara. This is not sitting well with him, and it won't sit well with the others.

I truly enjoyed the chemistry and fireworks between Cara and Viper. Cara doesn't let Viper get away with his usual cocky ego and he doesn't let her get away with hiding her feelings toward him. Ms. Rasey knows how to tell a story of hardcore motorcycle men that make no apologies for not being gentlemen. VIPER is the first book in the Sons of Sangue series, and I hope there are more.

SUMMARY

Kane 'Viper' Tepes is one of the oldest living descendants of Vlad III. Vampirism is in his blood. So is being the President of the Sons of Sangue. Those who break motorcycle club rules that protect their coven are dealt swift punishment. No exceptions. Until one pretty little detective has him compromising his beliefs, and endangering his position as head of the MC.

Vampirism had Cara Brahnam turning tail and leaving behind her life in Pleasant. Now, ten years later, she's back as lead detective and wants to see the person responsible for draining the women of Lane County brought to justice, no matter what deal the gang of miscreants has struck with the sheriff. Or the fact that her number one suspect is the sole reason she fled in the first place.

Now someone has targeted Cara as the next victim and Kane must join in the hunt to find the ancient vampire that wants her dead.

Re: Hardcore, Harley Riding Vampires.

I loved the review. It really intrigues me. Love series with chemistry and
sexual tension. I already really wanted to read it but now I do even more.
