Romance | Romance Paranormal

The Mayan Calendar proclaimed the end of the world Dec. 21, 2012 but it wasn't quite on the mark. In fact the truth is a portal opened to the Mayan world of the Midnighters for the warriors to find their mates. Rock and Jag are set on CLAIMING DESTINY.

Rock is torn he doesn't want to claim his Atan (mate) just yet. They are still at war with the Kimil. With a mate he and Jag would have to take their place as the leaders of their people. He was born to the role but he just isn't ready. Their first encounter does not go so smoothly and when a Kimil catches her scent desperation sets in for both of them.

Destiny Harrison's luck isn't going so well, she had quit one job because of a grabby boss and was heading to Vegas to interview to be a dealer. And of course now she's broke down and lost. Armed with only a few items she starts the biggest adventure of her life. There are two men who want her, a brand new beautiful, confusing world and an enemy who will stop at nothing to see her dead.

CLAIMING DESTINY is a provocative twist on the Maya calendar of doom. The action is non-stop starting with her flight from Rock and Jag, (how was she to know they meant her no harm) to the ceremony that makes them mates. Destiny is a feisty woman who doesn't just accept that she is now theirs, even if they are gorgeous beyond words; they have to work to keep her. Author Corinne Davies has a wicked imagination and realistic way of writing the unreal. Of course with two mates the erotic scenes were varied and hot with a lustful touch of voyeurism. I also got a kick out of Destiny being the one who comes up with the secret weapon against the enemy, but you will have to read CLAIMING DESTINY to find out what it is.

SUMMARY

An ancient portal quietly reopened the day the Mayan calendar ended, but it wasn't the "big bang" ending of the world as predicted. It did, however, change everything for Destiny Harriston. Stranded on a desolate stretch of New Mexico highway, Destiny doesn't know she's just become prey for two very different hunters. One wants her life. The other wants her for life. Rock and Jag entered our world expecting to find the women their legends spoke of, but all they found was an old man babbling on about stories of Chupacabras and Midnighters. When Destiny crosses their path and is critically hurt, they'll be forced to face an ancient enemy who has lurked in the shadows for more than a millennium. Capturing their woman was the only way to keep her safe, but now two worlds are threatened and they have to choose between their love for her and protecting everything they've ever known
