Elect WARRIOR Carter Owens made a mistake a number of years
ago. He left Jamie Wade, just walked away for her own good.
But when the former military special ops officer finds that
her death wasn't real but she had been in the hands of the
Stine Institute, he knows he's been given a second chance.
He's going to do everything he can to become the man in her
life again.
Jamie was held for months by the Institute and she doesn't
understand why. But when Carter's face is the one she wakes
up to, she is shocked. He is back and apparently rescued
her from her prison. It also meant he knew about their son
Kaden. But there seemed to be a whole lot more to the
situation she finds herself in.
She has a lot to learn about the new world she is entering.
The Elect are not human. They are stronger, faster and have
special powers. Her own power is to hear the truth in what
someone says. It had come in very handy when she was a
police officer. But someone wants to destroy them, because
they believe that they will overrun the humans and take
over the world.
The WARRIOR is a fantastic read. It is the first of the
Elect series that I have read and I found it fast paced,
with a lot of action and quite a bit of heat burning
between Carter and Jamie. I wish the book had been a little
longer so the author had more time for explanations of who
the Elect are and fill in on some of the secondary
characters. That said I can not wait to get my hands on
more of this exciting new world that Loribelle Hunt has
created.
