Firestarter Alpha vampire, Vlad met his match when he
hooked up with Psychic Lelia Dalton whose abilities have
made her a woman to be reckoned with as he soon learns.
When Vlad organized a special dinner, Lelia thought he
meant to propose but she was so wrong, he offers to turn
her into a vampire. Hurt and angry, Lelia issues an
ultimatum which Vlad refuses to even consider leaving Lelia
no choice but to leave Romania.
Arriving in the states,
Lelia soon realizes she's been replaced, before she can
begin to feel sorry for herself there is a bombing at the
carnival and her best friend is gone. The only thing now
on her mind is revenge. Now that her abilities have
returned Lelia with the help of Vlad's right hand man,
begin to search out the guilty party only to learn that
Vlad may be responsible for trying to kill her. All too
soon Lelia is in way over her head and she must seek out
Vlad's help before it's too late for either of them. Can
she be around the man she loves knowing he can't return her
feelings for justice, of course she can all she needs to do
is use him to help her get answers and ignore everything
else between them.
TWICE TEMPTED includes all of the
action and heat readers have come to expect from Ms. Frost
and her legendary vampires who are the ultimate in alpha
heroes. Vlad can't be tamed but his love for Lelia takes
him down a notch or two. Being with the two of them makes
you feel as if you are right there in the room. The
sparks, the dialogue and the diabolical plot enhances the
sterling characterization that is present in this author's
entire collection of stories. I have yet to read a book by
Frost that is not a keeper to be savored over and over
again. Too bad I have to wait awhile for the next book but
that's okay I'll just revisit some old ones.
SUMMARY
Dating the Prince of Darkness has its challenges . . . Leila's psychic abilities have been failing her,and now she
isn't sure what the future holds. If that weren't enough,
her lover Vlad has been acting distant. Though Leila is a
mere mortal, she's also a modern woman who refuses to accept
the cold shoulder treatment forever--especially from the
darkly handsome vampire who still won't admit that he loves her. Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity . . . Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit,
where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the
crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes,
Leila must decide who to trust--the fiery vampire who
arouses her passions like no other, or the tortured knight
who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her
every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to
damn her for eternity . . .
