BLACK MOON is the third in the Alpha Pack series by
author
J.D. Tyler. The pack is a top secret group of shifters with
psychic abilities who protect the world of human and non
human predators.
Dr. Mackenzie Grant's life with the pack has been
fulfilling but more so since Kalen Black, panther and
sorcerer came into her life. Her heart and body are
involved with this man despite her better judgment. As a
former psychologist, who had been attacked by one of her
clients, Mac knows the dangers of falling for Kalen.
Especially with the warnings of the dangers that emanate
from the man she is fast falling for. But there is no way
to ignore her heart
Kalen Black has only had one person in his life that loved
him, his grandmother who had given him an amulet to keep
him safe. By age 14 Kalen had been kicked out of the house
by his abusive father. He had been on his own for a long
time when he was found homeless and starving by the pack
and brought into the safety of their headquarters. Despite
being called "Gothboy", for his tendency toward dressing in
black with kohl eyes and black nail polish, and various
other nicknames that weren't so polite, Kalen begins to
look at these others as family.
Malik is an evil Fae who has been deviling the pack with
his attempts to take over the world by building an army of
supershifters under his command. He has taken a special
interest to Kalen, getting into his mind and forcing him to
do things against the pack that his heart would never have
allowed.
Kalen's number one worry is for Mackenzie, he breaks off
their affair because he's afraid that Malik will force him
to do something against her, but he does give her the
amulet for safety. Without that protection he hands himself
over more to Malik. Will he allow Malik to take him over or
will he have the strength to fight this evil? Can he save
the pack, the only family he has ever had, or will he be
the end of them?
BLACK MOON pulls readers into a fascinating world filled
with action. With so many characters in this book it could
have been confusing, but instead the author [J.D. Tyler]
was able to blend all the many personalities into a
comprehensive easy to read and very easy to enjoy
storyline. The Alpha Pack is an exciting series that
will have readers glued to the pages and wanting more.
SUMMARY
