Firefighter Sabina Jones is trying to get through the
Thanksgiving holiday as best she can given that she's
estranged from her family. She tore out of San Gabriel in
her El Camino and headed for Reno to blow off some steam.
She anticipated some drinking and gambling but not almost
hooking up with a talk, dark, and handsome stranger who
turns out to be the station's new training officer. After
years of protecting her professional reputation by keeping
fellow firefighters strictly in the "friends" category,
Sabina isn't sure what to do about the attraction that
flares between them.
Battalion Chief Rick Roman, one of the toughest captains on
the East Coast, has relocated to San Gabriel, CA to give his
teenage son new opportunities. He's expected to restore the
dignity of the fire station by putting an end to the media
hype around the "Bachelor Firemen of San Diego." When
everything that can go wrong does, he starts wondering if
there might be something to the bachelor curse. It doesn't
help that he works with a woman he lusts after who has a
secret that would keep the tabloids, bloggers, and gossips
busy for weeks.
SEX AND THE SINGLE FIREMAN is a fun, frothy, sexy read that
will entertain fans of contemporary romance. You can't go
wrong with sexy firemen but there is much more to the story
than that. Sabina's personal history was an entertaining
twist on the dysfunctional childhood though it still
explained the emotional obstacles she faced in her
developing relationship with Roman. Roman is a caring father
but is also a widower still struggling with the loss of his
wife and the newest member of a crew that isn't sure it
likes his tough attitude. I was completely pulled in as
Sabina and Roman sorted out their personal and professional
relationship in the midst of plenty of family and fire
station chaos.
SEX AND THE SINGLE FIREMAN is the third book in the Bachelor
Fireman series.
The toughest captain on the East Coast, single father Rick
Roman has come thousands of miles to San Gabriel to put an
end to the "Bachelor Firemen" media hype. But when a
stunning woman he nearly hooked up with in Reno turns out
to be a firefighter from his new station, Roman realizes
it's going to be tough keeping the tabloids at bay.
But
there's even more Sabina isn't telling him. Before
dedicating her life to battling blazes, Sabina led a very
different life, one that made her famous. The last thing
she wants is to have her secret exposed. The papers,
bloggers, and TV gossips will have a field day with that—
especially when they sense the obvious sexual heat between
Sabina and Chief Roman, who's torn between firing
her...and falling in love with her!
