Christiana is being held against her will by her brother
Torquil. She has visions of the future and he wants to know
what she sees. One of her visions shows that she has a
rescuer and she asks her elf friend Syrie to bring him
through time for her. Chase Noble is unsettled. He can't
find contentment anywhere and goes to the Faerie Falls to
contemplate his future. He winds up working at a ranch as a
cowboy and one night feels an earthquake. Then he feels
himself being thrown through time. He meets Halldor and they
become friends and like family. They pledge themselves to
the service of Christiana's brother. During their time
there, they find that things are not what they seem and
neither is Troquil. As a WARRIOR REBORN, Chase vows to keep
Christiana safe.
Both Chase and Christiana are unhappy with their lives.
Christiana wants a life of freedom and not to answer to her
brother. Chase wants a place where he can feel at home.
Christiana thinks he will be upset when her learns her part
in his travel through time. But, Chase realizes that this is
where he belongs. Ms. Mayhue tells a tale set in Scotland
with colorful word pictures and heavy with a Scottish
brogue. Besides the main characters there is a subplot with
Halldor and Bridget MacCulloch, whom I hope we meet again in
another book. I would love to read the rest of their story.
Then there is Orabilis, who gives Christiana the herbs for
her visions and for her healing. WARRIOR REBORN captivates
readers from the first page and is a thoroughly enjoyable
read which I enjoyed very much.

Now she must rely on the magic of a Faerie to transport him to the past. And when Christiana finally meets Chase, the sparks between them set off a smoldering desire. But will the magic that brought them together also tear them apart?
