Kele Moon travels back into Alex and Matt's past in a
series of flashbacks that helps build the relationship
between Matt and Alex. Seeing these glimpses further
cemented their passion for one another. However, years
later, Alex and Matt find themselves face to face once
again, recalling those repressed memories that leave a
bitter taste.
There were two things I loved about STARFISH AND COFFEE. I
love the
way Moon was able to create two distinct heroes that were
different in social class and personality and still have
them complement each other nicely when they are together. I
loved how cocky Alex was, yet he was so readily able to
admit that he has fallen in love. I also enjoyed how Matt
was seen as a polished gentleman but wasn't afraid to voice
his beliefs. Overall, I found that Moon created likeable
characters that readers can't help but be interested in.
The other thing is that STARFISH AND COFFEE has a small town
feel to
it. I love small town Contemporary romances, but it's nice
to see an M/M romance that shares those attributes as well.
The overall tone felt inviting and relaxing and paired with
some hot sex and likeable characters, and you've got the
perfect weekend read! Kele Moon dishes up the perfect blend
of sweetness, sand and seduction!
On the island where they first met two lovers from opposite
sides of the tracks are reunited. Now jaded and broken,
Alex and Matt still can’t deny their sizzling connection or
the memories of one perfect, uninhibited year together.
At twenty-two, Matt Tarrington is rich, good-looking and
destined to be powerful, but behind that confident exterior
lurks a man who resents the life his family thrust upon
him. Wanting an escape, Matt heads to Mirabella Island off
the coast of Florida for a year of relaxation and a few
wild nights with vacationing party-girls.
Matt never expected to find real passion in the arms of
Alex Hunter, a handsome, laid-back local. Alex is gay, but
closeted. Knowing Matt should be off limits, Alex finds the
deeply-in-denial rich boy too tempting to ignore.
Especially when a bet has them working together, fighting
the heat in the rundown, beachside cafe where Alex sweats
for every dollar
