Newly engaged, Derek and Avery start work on a small condo
brought to their attention by the police chief's son.
Hoping to move quickly and sell just as quickly, neither one
of them counts on the nosy neighbor, Hilda Shaw. Even
though they were warned about her, Derek and Avery can't
believe she is as bad as everyone says.
She proves to be worse. Hilda never leaves her apartment
but keeps watch all day and night on her fellow tenants.
When Hilda is found murdered, Avery will start following the
clues left behind to identify the killer. Avery discovers
that each of the tenants had some reason to hate Hilda. In
fact, she was blackmailing some of them.
Avery, Derek and Wayne will discern the identity of the
killer as more bodies are found and old secrets are
revealed.
While I will never be much of a do it yourself person, it's
fascinating reading the ideas that the author presents.
Avery and Derek are such wonderful characters with some
really likable secondary characters. That and the ending of
WALL TO WALL DEAD
make for a really satisfying read.
Avery Baker never thought she’d leave Manhattan, until
she inherited her aunt’s old Maine cottage and found her
true calling—home renovation. But when Avery goes to work
restoring a condominium, she discovers it’s another condo
owner who’s been condemned...
Avery and her
fiancé, Derek, are fixing up a cute little condo in homey
Waterfield, Maine, hoping for a quick turnaround and some
extra money for their wedding. It seems like a simple
project—and Avery is looking forward to using her big-city
experience with small spaces.
But they didn’t expect
to have their every move watched by the resident busybody in
the condo, Hilda Shaw, who loves snooping on everyone’s
comings and goings. When the busybody becomes a dead body,
Avery suspects foul play. Soon she’s doing some snooping of
her own—and it seems everyone in the complex has a secret.
Could one of them be worth killing for? Avery needs to work
fast, before someone decides to fix her...for good.
