Romance Suspense

Simon Kincaid, a former Navy Seal is now a member of A-Tac, a black-ops division of the CIA. He thinks he can handle anything but in a blink of an eye he finds himself in DOUBLE DANGER.

Jillian "JJ" Montgomery is the widow of his best friend Ryan. When they were in college Simon was in love with her, and she now works for Homeland Security. But he doesn't know that when he sees her at the hospital doing a disaster drill just before the inexplicable crash of a helicopter into the side of the building. He manages to rescue her, lose her in the chaos and later find she has been released from another hospital. His guilt will not allow him to go any further. Simon believes it's his fault that Ryan died. He has lived with that and the betrayal with her in college, for a long time and doesn't want to relive the pain of losing his friends, one to death and the other because he couldn't face her. He had walked away then and he will stay away now.

Jillian, no longer JJ, has lived with the pain of losing her husband but more importantly she lost Simon. She had made a mistake marrying her husband, and the reasons were none of anyone's business especially Simon's. She wasn't about to tarnish his friends image with the truth. She had hoped he would stop the wedding but he didn't and she has to live with the fact that her feelings are not the same as his.

Now they are thrown together, with Homeland Security working with A-Tac because the crash isn't an accident. Will it be possible for him to overcome his guilt and keep his hands off of her? Will she be able to tell him how she still feels about him and what a mess her marriage had been? Or will the emotional games their hearts are playing mess up their brains so that the bad guys win.

DOUBLE DANGER has an absorbing storyline that makes you want more. It is fast-paced filled with action, gun play, explosions, and intrigue with the addition of sexual tension and heat between Simon and Jillian to thrill readers of any genre. It is interesting to watch how the author [Dee Davis] has the couple trying to discount their past relationship only to come to the realization that they cannot. I could not put this book down and now that it is read, I am searching for more by this author and hope the A- Tac storyline continues for a long time.

After her husband Ryan's death, Jillian dedicates herself to saving others. She can't afford to be tempted by Simon, even though his every touch reignites the desire they once shared. But in the last desperate minutes before disaster strikes, their second chance at love might be the most lethal trap of all . . .
