Gabriel Rodriguez, a rancher in Forever, Texas, has
reluctantly agreed to become the temporary U.S. Deputy
Sheriff, at the urging of his sister, Alma, the senior
deputy. Driving home during a dangerous rain storm, he
views a car tottering on the edge of the ravine, finding a
woman unconscious and trapped in the car. Pulling the
vehicle from the edge with his truck, he then notices the
doors seem sealed shut and the only escape available is to
pull the woman through the windshield. A spark igniting a
flame in the car nearly claims both of their lives. The
beautiful young woman does regain consciousness and is
diagnosed with hysterical amnesia among her cuts and
scratches. Her car reveals the brakes have been cut
intentionally.
With no hotel in town, Gabe installs her in his home
temporarily, thinking to find another place for her to stay
until she regains her memory. With no memory of her name,
Gabe calls her Angel in the interim. He soon learns she is
a fantastic cook and must have been a professional at same
time or had special training as a chef. Installing her in
Joan's Diner, the only restaurant in the tiny town, is a
stroke of genius. She soon becomes a hit with her delicious
and attractive fare. Angel and Gabe can no longer hold back
their desire for each other and soon become inseparable.
Nearing Christmas Angel has a secret to tell Gabe and he
intends to propose. Before either can happen, the posters
sent out have brought forth a man claiming to be Angel's
fiancé. Terrified of the man but not remembering him or who
she is when he calls her Dorothy Mandra, the town gathers
together in preventing him from forcing Angel to return with
him. Detective Jake Wynters from San Antonio expects to
have her, even if it's dead. Thinking the Det. Has left
town, Angel is terrified when he arrives at the farm
rendering Gabe helpless. However, Jake doesn't count on
the toughness of Gabe and has a source to deal with.
Marie Ferrarella just keeps the winners coming. A
FOREVER CHRISTMAS is full of suspense and excitement
throughout. For a
short story she has managed to pack a lot of feeling and
excitement into it. Of course it's always good reading when
you have a gorgeous and caring hero involved. I truly love
everything this author writes! The pages just keep turning
themselves.
