Romance

Shannon Stacey brings back the Kowalski family, this time featuring the cousins of Whitford, Maine. The five siblings were raised in the family's lodge which is now being run by the youngest, Josh, while the others have built lives elsewhere. When Josh breaks his leg, Mitch takes time off from work to help around the lodge. He is shocked to discover that the downturn in the economy has hit the lodge hard and Josh needs more help than he's been willing to admit. The other surprise Mitch encounters is Paige Sullivan, the beautiful diner owner who immediately catches his attention.

The best thing that ever happened to Paige was having her car breakdown in Whitford. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful she decided to buy the diner and make Whitford home, something she's been longing for after a nomadic childhood. She refuses to be like her mother, following behind one man after another. She's equally attracted to Mitch and intrigued by all the rumors she has heard about his romantic prowess. She knows his stay is temporary but with some urging from her friends decides a casual fling might just be what she needs. But as they get to know each other and their affection grows will either one be able to say goodbye?

ALL HE EVER NEEDED is a tender romance about living your own dream, though sometimes it takes figuring out what that is. Mitch and Paige make a nice couple who struggle to realize the obstacles between them are not insurmountable. In fact, while I enjoyed Mitch and Paige's interactions with their family and friends, I would have liked more focus on the romantic aspect of the story. I did like the supporting characters though and am curious about what is in store for the other Kowalski siblings.

SUMMARY

He won't stay put for a woman, and she won't chase after any man...

Mitch Kowalski lives out of a suitcase--and he likes it that way. Traveling for work has the added bonus of scaring off women who would otherwise try to tie him down. But when he's called home to help with the family lodge, he's intrigued by the new girl in town and her insistence that she doesn't need a man. If there's one thing Mitch can't resist, it's a challenge.

After a nomadic childhood, Paige Sullivan is finally putting down roots. Determined to stand on her own two feet, she lives by the motto "Men are a luxury, not a necessity." But when Mr. Tall, Dark and Hot pulls up a stool in her diner and offers her six weeks of naughty fun with a built-in expiration date, she's tempted to indulge.

They're the perfect match for a no-strings fling. Until they realize their sexy affair has become anything but casual...
