In JINGLE BELL BRIDE we meet Chelsea McKlaskin, she is a
pediatric
doctor who is just starting at a new practice. She recently
lost her
mother and she is still dealing with the loss and the grief
that goes along
with it. She is unmarried and on a five year no man plan.
She has been
hurt in the past and is afraid to love again. We also meet
Michael Kramer
another doctor who has lost his wife in a car accident and
is raising their
little girl the best he can. The two meet at the cemetery
when Macie walks
away from daddy during a snow storm and Chelsea finds her.
That
meeting does not go well as you can imagine and the two
part ways. But not
for long.
It seems that Chelsea's new job is in the same practice
that Michael works
at. Chelsea is as attracted to Michael as he is to her but
they have both been
hurt in the past and both are trying to bury themselves in
their work and
deny they have feelings for each other. They try keeping
their relationship
on a friendly working level but denying love is very
difficult to do as you
soon learn reading JINGLE BELL BRIDE. Chelsea has three
sisters who see her
struggling with her feelings, but instead of trying to
change her mind they
are there to listen and to support as best they can.
Michael has the support
of his parents and their help with Macie as well. He
struggles with his
feelings for Chelsea as he is afraid the past will repeat
itself and he will
disappoint her as he did his wife.
As in all of her previous McKlaskin books, Jillian
Hart does not disappoint with
this JINGLE BELL RIDE. I love getting wrapped up in their
lives and watching them
grow as good Christians. This book is filled with strong
family values and
ties and bringing Michael and Macie into the picture is
just perfect. JINGLE BELL BRIDE is
a quick read and filled with holiday spirit. You can never
go wrong with a
Jillian Hart book.
Finishing medical school at the top of her class, Chelsea
McKaslin always achieves her goals. Now back home in
Sunshine, Wyoming, her Christmas goal is to succeed as a
pediatrician. In no way do her plans include Dr. Michael
Kramer, despite the fact that he's everywhere she turns. The
standoffish widower keeps his distance from her, as if to
protect his adorable daughter and himself. Yet the spirit of
the season prevails. Soon Chelsea is bonding with little
Macie—and her handsome daddy. Will these three hearts thaw
in time for Christmas?
