GLOW by Amy Kathleen Ryan takes us on an incredible
voyage into the vast, emptiness of space. With the
overpopulated Earth's resources stretched to the breaking
point, these colonists have set out on an impossible journey
to found a New Earth. Kieran and Waverly were born aboard
the Empyrean. They have never known Earth. As the oldest,
they are seen as the caretakers of the new generation. But
when the New Horizon, their sister ship, pulls up alongside,

Taken prisoner aboard the New Horizon, Waverly faces dark
challenges including having her eggs harvested, violence,

GLOW is a dystopian novel which doesn't pull any punches,
it's a hard,
violent struggle to stay alive and stay free. But Kieran and
Waverly's determination help them both to survive.
16 years ago, Waverly and Kieran were the first children

reach (and colonise) New Earth within fifty years. Along
with their allies on the second spaceship - who set off a
year before them and whom they have never met. One day,
Kieran proposes to Waverly. That same morning, the 'allies'
attack - and Kieran and Waverly are separated in the
cruellest way possible. Will they ever see each other again?
