Romance Contemporary

This is my first book by Roxanne St. Claire but it will not be the last. BAREFOOT IN THE SAND was a fun quick read filled with lots of sexual tension along with silly and funny moments. This book made me want to move to Florida and open a resort with a hot sexy architect!

In BAREFOOT IN THE SAND we meet Lacey Armstrong and her teenage daughter Ashley. They have just survived a hurricane that wiped out everything they own including their house. Lacey's friends arrive in Mimosa Key to lift her spirits and help in any way they can. That just might include Clay Walker who Lacey met on the beach and happens to be an up and coming architect. After initially turning him down when he suggests building a resort on the property, her friends help her see the light and convince her she needs to give him a chance. Here is where the sexual tension begins!

Lacey is thirty six and Clay is twenty nine. At first she has a problem with their age difference but of course, Clay convinces her otherwise. He is going to be working for her pro bono to help keep her costs down. He is also ready for a personal relationship and worms his way into her head as well as her heart. She cant stop thinking about him and the heat he brings to her entire body!

Enter Ashley's father! He hasn't seen his daughter since she was a year old. Now when Lacey is considering a fresh start in her life with Clay, David shows up! Could life get any more complicated for them all? David has this crazy idea that after thirteen years he and Lacey can just pick up where they left off!

Lacey and Clay both have issues to deal with from their past. Can either one of them get over it and learn to trust and love again? You will have to read BAREFOOT IN THE SAND to find out! Believe me when I tell you, you wont be able to put it down until the very last page.

SUMMARY

When all you hold dear is taken away . . .

When a hurricane roars through Lacey Armstrong's home on the coast of Barefoot Bay, she decides all that remains in the rubble is opportunity. A new hotel is just what Mimosa Key needs, and Lacey and her teenage daughter are due for a fresh start. And nothing, especially not a hot, younger architect, is going to distract Lacey from finally making her dreams a reality.

A second chance is the only thing you have left.

Love has already cost Clay Walker everything. And if he's going to have any chance of picking up the pieces of his life, he needs the job as Lacey Armstrong's architect. What's not in the plans is falling for the headstrong beauty. Her vision of the future is more appealing than anything he could have ever drafted for himself. Will Clay's designs on Lacey's heart be more than she can handle, or will she trust him to build something that will last forever?
