Romance Suspense | Romance Erotica Sensual

In WHITE HOT, United States Navy Lt. Commander Clint Wolf Walker is working for Naval Intelligence. He has acquired top-secret plans for unmanned underwater vehicles and the Chinese want it back. After a failed attempt to get to an Alaskan Airport he tries one last ditch effort to get away from his pursuers. He plans to become a stowaway and picks tramp freighter 'Ile de Coeur'.

Captain Samantha Richardson, is the freighter's captain. It's her first command and even if her father is the company owner, it could be her last if she fails to get the cargo offloaded on time. Even though Clint gives her only his naval identification, "some men are after me and want to kill me" and "classified" as an explanation for stowing away, she finds herself believing him. Not trusting him because she doesn't have a lot of faith in men in general, but she allows him to stay making him the first mate in charge of security. Very quickly they find themselves in each others arms.

Before they have time to digest the new found feeling for each other the ship is boarded by 'pirates'. Clint knows it's the Chinese and they have found him. With her crew taken hostage, the two of them have to work together to try to save them, keep each other safe and eliminate the enemy. No problem for this former SEAL if he can just keep his focus on the danger and not the woman. And no problem for this ships captain whose whole career is on the line, but finds she's worrying more about her new first mate.

WHITE HOT is such a fast paced exciting book that you cannot stop turning the pages. The danger and intrigue makes you catch your breath as do the moments the couple find to be together. The story line and characters are well written and believable with normal human flaws but the guts to step up when necessary. Nina Bruhns has a winner with WHITE HOT.

SUMMARY

U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Clint Walker is on the run across the icy Alaskan Bering Sea. The Chinese operatives tracking him will do anything to retrieve the stolen military plans in Clint's possession--and kill him for their trouble. Desperate to safeguard the documents, he stows aboard a cargo ship--and comes face to face with the most beautiful--and determined--ship's commander he's ever encountered...

Captain Samantha Richardson won't let anything--or anyone--stand in the way of her career...especially now with her whole future riding on this latest run. Yet the sight of her brash stowaway's enticing bedroom eyes and his hard, muscular body has Sam fantasizing about indulging in a small indiscretion, just this once. After all, Clint Walker is her ideal man: hot, intriguing, and temporary.

But when Clint and Sam give in to their simmering passion, they emerge to face an exploding danger that threatens to put an all too permanent end to their growing feelings...and their lives.
