Selina and Jack, are two people from opposite lives that
cross
when they must work together to catch a serial killer on the
loose. In elf years Selina has lived a long life and it
seems that it will soon end. Not only has she lived nearly
to the life expectancy of her kind but her death has also
been seen in a premonition. Yet when she meets Jack a normal
who knows about magikals the sparks ignite and Selina may
decide that she wants more. The two hit it off right from
the start, as they try to figure out the case they must also
figure out just where their own relationship stands.
NIGHT GAMES is the second book in Jordan's Night
i>series.
NIGHT GAMES is a great addition to the series. I found
myself
engrossed in the story right from the start and hated
leaving their world at the end of the book.
Selina is a
strong woman who fights for so much and Jack is a great man
who is more than ready to fight at Selina's side. Watching
the attraction between the two turn into so much more was a
nice read. I enjoyed the way the Jordan blends the myths and
monsters with the action in NIGHT GAMES. You are never left
wanting, NIGHT GAMES keeps you entertained and guessing all
the way through.
I enjoyed seeing Selina and Jack each work
through their own secrets and pasts and learn to trust each
other. Only they can know if their pasts can help them save
their future and if they even have a future to save, the
love and trust that Selina and Jack build is a wonderful
thing to see. Not only do we get to see the main characters
form a great bond but we also get to see the secondary
characters make an impression as well. I even enjoyed
watching the dog: Grim and his importance to this story and
Selina.
Crystal Jordan does a great job of bringing her
characters and their worlds to life. I fell so deep into
this world I found myself not wanting to leave and hoping to
be able to return again soon.
Selina Grayson is a cop with a reputation for being cold and
ruthless. She's also an elf who's lived a long, long life,
and knows there's a good reason for the laws that Magickal
races have to abide by. Now an old case has resurfaced: a
serial killer with a penchant for draining the blood of
Normal humans who know about magic. Jack Laramie enjoys
pitting his human law enforcement abilities against
Magickals, but this assignment is going to be a real bitch.
The only perk is having Selina working by his side - he
knows firsthand that she's anything but cold in bed. But as
the case hits close to home, Jack finds that one wrong move
could mean he loses those he loves the most, including
Selina...
