Romance Series

The beautiful Latino Maria Santiago, is suffering from retrograde amnesia. A year has gone past since the boat accident that took her mother's and sister's lives as well as causing her loss of memory. Maria spends all her time sequestered in her room at Reefside in Fort Lauderdale filling her orders for her paintings. Even now jealous of Daniel Murphy Del Rio, the man who was at the helm of the Honora and also the man who her ill father is so fond of, Maria now remembers her family but nothing of Daniel. She can't help but notice his ultra hot-shot body and warm mannerisms which do nothing to dispel the uneasiness she feels at believing he is only ingratiating her father for personal gain. Hating to leave her father who is very ill with diabetes, the only recourse for her amnesia is to retrace her steps to the place where it all began. Daniel, rich in his own right, is famous for boat racing and intends to return to Australia to resume his career. The only thing keeping him is the promise to Maria's father, Elias, to accompany Maria back to the Abacos in the Bahamas and Little Harbour where the accident occurred while he was manning the vessel. Attempting to give Maria the honesty and redemption she seeks, Daniel is bound to keep the secret of their engagement and the fact that they were lovers. The entire trip begins to enlighten Maria and she again falls under the spell of Daniel and his strong physical attraction which involves breath taking sex. An encounter with the brother of the man involved in the accident leaves Maria believing Daniel has lied and was having a torrent affair with her sister, Carmen, at the time of her death. Maria dispels everything Daniel says and leaves him to go home, as her memory has returned and all she can think of are the lies surrounding Daniel and Carmen. Elias dies and sets off another round of doubts, sadness and loneliness, even though Daniel was there to handle most of the arrangements. Now Daniel can only head to hope Town Harbour and pray that Maria will find a way to uncover the truth and seek him out before he leaves for Brisbane to race and end their love forever. WHERE IT BEGAN is a beautiful and nostalgic story of a tremendous love between two people who are driven apart by the jealousy of a twin sister who intended to have Daniel for herself. Maria is the quiet sister, always in the background, while Carmen is the flirty, deceitful one. Weighing her conscience between her love for Daniel and her loyalty to her sister becomes the fight in this young woman's life. Their earth shattering love is hard to turn from, and until she finds evidence that Carmen was manipulative and a liar, she remains a devoted sister. This is a page turner for sure!

SUMMARY

Daniel Del Rio never could say no to Maria Santiago. So although their relationship is over, when she asks him to sail her to the Bahamas, he reluctantly agrees. She's convinced that revisiting the scene of her accident will restore her memory. If it does, then maybe he can finally let go and move on with his life. But moving on seems impossible when being in such close quarters reminds him of what they once had. Could their proximity be having the same effect on her? As he falls for Maria, Daniel realizes he has to confess his role in the accident…even if that confession could cost him a second chance with her.
