THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC is the last book in the Living in Eden
series and one the reader will look forward to. Eden Riley
is possessed by a handsome, tricky demon who makes her
wonder if she really wants to get rid of him. That demon,
Darrak, appears to truly care for Eden. Their relationship
has grown and developed since the first book. They have
fallen into a camaraderie, as well as a relationship. Eden
is cursed and that curse causes Darrak to stick to her like
glue. When Eden's magic begins to get out of control, Darrak
makes the hard decision of forcing her to seek outside help
- but that help just may separate them forever.
Darrak remains just as funny, handsome, and charismatic as
ever in this novel. Eden is slightly impulsive, random, and
caring when it comes to Darrak, even when he frustrates her.
Darrak proves that he truly loves Eden by asking her to seek
outside help that could harm him. The secondary characters
round out the book, they add emphasis to Eden and Darrak's
relationship and keep the plot moving. The events themselves
are fairly fast-paced, the scenes where Eden's magic begins
to waver and spike and exciting and very fast-paced.
Fans of the series should run to get THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC.
The ending is satisfying and slightly predictable, but the
events leading up to the ending contain many twists and
surprises that will keep readers on their toes. Overall, as
the finale of the series, THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC, closes this
world beautifully.

And when her magic starts manifesting itself without conscious effort, both Eden's life and the possibility of a future with Darrak are threatened-since only one of them might be able to survive this...
