Dylan Garahan doesn't mind helping out Jolene, the owner of
the Lucky Star, but he'll never feel comfortable stripping
off all but those too-small underwear and lassoing any
birthday girl the owner indicates. Still, the money helps
pay the bills, allowing him and his brothers to keep working
their ranch as their family has done for more than 150
years. Then a sultry brunette filly wanders in, blindfolded
and flanked on each side by her girlfriends. One twirl of
the rope and a hot kiss later, he knows he's met the woman
of his late-night hard-as-nails dreams.
Veronica 'Ronnie' DelVecchio moved to Pleasure, Texas from
New Jersey to leave the pain of her cheating husband and
treacherous bestfriend behind. She'd made a good start at
her lingerie and oils business, Guilty Pleasures, before
some random teenage violence destroyed her livelihood and
left her shop in ruins. Thank goodness Pleasure was the kind
of small town where she can barter her Italian cooking
skills in exchange for enough carpentry know-how to piece
her shop back together. If only the hot middle Garahan
brother wasn't so distracting. From the moment he kissed her
on stage at the Lucky Star she's been fighting the need he
kindles. Now he is going to be in her shop every evening
working long and hard to help her out. He's made it clear he
was interested in hammering more than nails. How long can
she fight her needs and his both, to keep her family curse
(involving Irishmen and twins) from coming true?
In DYLAN, book two of The Secret Life of Cowboys trilogy
Admirand gives her readers what they want; hot, sexy Texan
cowboys who know what they want and go after it with both
hands, sprinkled with love scenes spicy enough to leave them
'hornier than a three-peckered goat'. Although the main love
story comes to a satisfying conclusion, not many of the
over-arcing plot questions raised in book one, Tyler,
are answered but that makes me look forward to book three,
Jesseall the more. Jesse will be published in
July, 2012.
Dylan Garahan might be an old hand at lassoing fillies, but
one night at the Lucky Star club, and he ends up wrapping
his rope around someone that even his formidable strength
can't tame. She's wily and beautiful... and she's his new
boss. Dylan's had his heart broken before, but even an
honest cowpoke has to wrestle with temptation...
UNTIL HE GOT HIS LASSO AROUND HER...
Ronnie DelVecchio might be fresh off the bus from New
Jersey, but she's a hard-edged businesswoman and has had her
fill of men she can't trust—although she might consider
getting off her high horse for that big, handsome rancher
with a Texas drawl.
