Esther is starring in a The Vampyre, an off-Broadway hit.
Her obnoxious co-star, Daemon Ravel claims to be a vampire.
His name and popularity have made the play a cult classic.
Not only does Esther find herself besieged and assaulted by
Daemon's fans who are jealous of her proximity to the star,
the paparazzi are following her as well.
When a body turns up drained of blood, Esther finds herself
coming into contact with Detective Conner Lopez, her on-
again, off-again lover. The police are actively
investigating Daemon for the murder. When more bodies are
found, Esther and Max find themselves in danger as they
investigate.
The fourth in the highly popular Esther Diamond series, this
is a fabulous read. Between the assaults by the women who
worship Daemon, the scientist picketing the show, the
reporters and the police, Esther is kept busy just trying to
get to the theatre. With Max leading the charge, Esther
will learn that vampires do exist as well as a select group
of vampire hunters who police the vampires to keep them
under control. As she learns more, Esther finds herself the
target of the killer.
I've been reading this series since the first came out. The
stories are intense, extremely amusing, and full of plot
twists which will keep the reader busy trying to keep the
whole thing straight. Nothing can be more fun than an
actress who routinely finds herself involved in the most
bizarre situations. The addition of a 350 year old wizard
and his canine companion add to the excitement. These are
the kind of books that you can read time and again noticing
the intricate details the lead Esther and Max to the
killers.
Playing a scantily clad vampire victim in an off-Broadway
play, struggling actress Esther Diamond now may be the
target of someone who claims to be a genuine bloodsucker...
