The world of Valdemar will continue to enchant readers in
the third novel of this powerful story. The characters in
this novel are developing further into adults. The reader
will love viewing the more mature versions of the
characters he/she has come to love over the years.
Mags is transforming into a spy for Valdemar, a world he
acknowledges a deep love for. He completely devotes
himself to the King and his world, regardless of the cost
to himself. The only possible complaint about Mags would
be the dialect he speaks in. The dialect can make it
difficult to understand and connect with his character at
times.
This book contains the four teen characters slowly maturing
and discovering their purpose in life as well as a fantasy
world that will amaze the reader. The author writes with a
care for detail, the reader will be able to picture this
intriguing world. The events were fairly fast-paced, there
were a few slower scenes, however. This book would be
recommended to fans of the first two books.
