I enjoyed this book as much as every other book in this
series. MUCH ADO ABOUT VAMPIRES was another great story
involving the Dark Ones. In this book we meet Cora and
Alec. Cora is a strong and intelligent woman who hates
vampires and that is just what Alec happens to be. Yet Alec
may be the one man who can help her against those that want
to kill her. Can she get past her feelings and accept Alec
and his help?
This is the ninth book in this series and while it can be
read as a stand alone it would be better if you were to
read this series from the beginning to get a better feel of
the characters and this world. I have enjoyed this series
from book one and this newest book does not disappoint. I
really liked Alec and his broodiness. Cora is a total
opposite and watching the two get together was a great
read. It was nice to finally find out what happened in
Alec's life and get his story told.
As the two try to make their way free they must also
deal with their feelings for each other as well. I really
enjoy this authors writing style and couldn't put this book
down. I was pulled right into the wondrous world of the
Dark Ones and loved every minute of it. Not only do we get
Cora and Alec's story but we also get to visit with many
other secondary characters. It was great to see all the
characters and their adventure to defeat Bael and I loved
the idea that passed through Cora about him being addicted
to his smart phone and using Facebook.
Once again this author has done a wonderful job. I was
sucked into the world of Dark Ones right from the start and
was taken on a fantastic ride. This book is full of witty
dialogue and great romance making it one that should not be
missed.
Corazon Ferreira is a jaded woman. Turns out she was a
vampire's mate in a past life. And no matter how
distractingly gorgeous he is, she just can't get the image
of him killing someone out of her head. But when her life
depends on him, Corazon's going to have to stop overthinking
things-and start trusting her heart...
