The world of the Nightwalkers has been turbulent. Ruth is
causing trouble with the possibility of war. She knows of
the children in the prophecy and will do anything to keep
those ancient words from becoming reality. When Jacob's
brother reappears after 400 years all the rules change. The
question is where has he been and how did he suddenly
appear?
ADAM, the sixth book in the Nightwalker series, is centered
around Adam, Jacob's elder brother and former enforcer and
Jasmine, the Vampire King's right hand lady. Both came to
age in a time when there was no fraternization with members
of a different species. The fact that they both felt they
were above such a thing didn't help when the simple sight of
each other made body parts tingle with desire. When they
cross paths again during a time when mating out of your
species seems to be a normal event, the internal fight to
keep distance from one another conflicts with the wishes of
both their kings.
Jacob, the first book in the Nightwalker series, was the
first paranormal romance I ever read. I have a special
bond with the characters in these books since I have read
them more times then I can count. I am telling you this so
you understand my next statement. Something major (not
giving any spoilers) happens in the first fifteen pages of
Adam that made me want to throw the book and cry into a
pillow. I could not believe that Frank took the story in the
direction that she did. I know authors have to do things
that will make their faithful readers upset but in my mind,
she had gone too far. I told myself that she would not do
something so drastic without reason and I needed to continue
reading the story and boy am I glad I did.
This book gives the readers of the series so many things.
Being able to see how Jacob, Adam, and Noah were in younger
years was a treat. I love how the boyish cockiness flowed
off the page when the three best friends bantered back and
forth trying to one up each other. We also catch a glimpse
of the future if Noah and his faithful are not able to stop
Ruth and her devious plans for all the Nightwalker
monarchies. It just makes the reader dislike Ruth and her
followers even more, if that is possible.
With glimpses into the past, present and future the emotions
that are felt while reading ADAM are exhausting. I rarely
cry while reading a book but ADAM had me weeping like
someone kicked my puppy in so many places. In other I could
feel nothing be unconditional love for the characters we
have fallen in love with through out the series. During
battle scenes all I wanted was for Ruth to get what she
deserves ten fold. I had to keep a large supply of chocolate
on hand just to do my best to keep my emotions in check.
ADAM is a must read for all the fans and I promise you will
be happy with the outcome even if you get upset at the word
go.
Hunted by magic, beset by evil, the Nightwalkers face their
darkest hour yet. And when the unthinkable happens, only one
legendary male has the power, the will, to save them: Adam. . .
For 400 Years He Was Lost To Her, But He Is Hers Tonight. . .
From their first tantalizing touch, Jasmine knows he is
different. What other lover could unlock her tight control,
flood vampire senses jaded by a lifetime of decadent self
indulgence? Centuries ago, when he disappeared without a
trace, she had given up hope of ever fulfilling the promise
of incomparable passion. But here he is, against the very
laws of nature, ready to bring down their most vicious
enemy, ready to bring her blood to the boiling point. . .if
she will only let him.
Pleasure rules the night.

WARNING: YOU MIGHT GET WET!!
He changed form in the blink of an eye, morphing from man to
a deluge of water that dashed against her face and body. But
unlike normal water he did not cascade off of her and fall
to the ground. Instead, he flowed over her supple body,
slowly washing over and around her, covering her inch by
inch. He felt the smoothness of her skin beneath his touch,
the weight of her breasts…tasted the hard points of her nipples.
She gasped in shock when he first hit her, but that shock
quickly changed to something deeper and far sultrier. The
sound that erupted from her as he flowed over her was
nothing short of purest sin. He took satisfaction in it.
And even as he covered the most intimate inches of her skin
with his exploration, he knew he was going too far. It had
gone too far the moment he had sat in the brush to stare at
her as she bathed. But this, what he was doing now, it was a
whole other level of perversion, and as glorious as she
felt, he knew he was stepping way over the line.
