"A laugh out-loud romantic comedy"

The day that Cherry Harte is left standing at the altar is
the day she wins the New Jersey state lottery. Cherry decides to reinvent herself and moves to Mystic
Beach Florida. She buys a villa on the ocean and a new
Jaguar and of course a pedigree poodle. Cherry's wants
nothing more than to belong somewhere and she believes in
order for this to happen she needs to be accepted by the
community and what better way to do this than to join the
Woman League. When Cherry planned her new life, she forgot to make
allowances for someone finding out about her family. What
a cast of characters they are Cherry's mother Fran is
serving time for embezzling from all places a pizza
parlor. Fran's arrest happened at Cherry's wedding
rehearsal dinner. Dear old dad Monty has been missing in
action for about ten years but you can be sure he is
pulling a con wherever he is. Then there is her sister Liz
who has a wig for everyday of the week in every color
imaginable. When Cherry's car will not start on the day of her big
appointment with the Woman League she meets mechanic Luke
Chance. Luke has no use for rich women especially hoity-
toity woman who want to join the Woman League. When Cherry
set eyes on Luke her tattoo starts itching and that always
mean a life altering change is about to happen in her
life. This book has a host of characters that will keep you
laughing into the wee hours of the night. Ms. Long has
written a love story that is on the funny side but with
some serious issues. The cast of characters will have you
flipping pages to see what is going to happen next, from
why Cherry's poodle Lucky is pink to a three foot loan
enforcer and an artist named Yogi. The escapades of
Grandpa Eugene and the Widow Pettigrew at matchmaker are
hilarious. This book was described as a laugh out-loud
romantic comedy and that is exactly what it was. Ms. Long
has a new fan of her books and I hope to read more.
SUMMARY
CHERRY HARTE is determined to reinvent her life.
LUKE CHANCE is determined to hide from his. When a faulty auto
ignition sends Cherry to Luke's shop, fate sets an
undeniable attraction into motion. He vows to ignore the
light in her eyes, and she promises to deny how he kicks
her libido from zero to sixty in no time flat. But, when
her work with the local Women’s League puts her in direct
competition with his work with local kids, things get
interesting--and irresistible.
