Three new and very mischievous angels, Mercy, Goodness
and Shirley, are given assignments on earth from the
Archangel Gabriel. Each has merely three weeks to perform
their miracles with a deadline of Christmas. All three
assigned subjects have lessons to learn before they can be
granted their ultimate wish with the aid of their angel.
Leah Lundberg, a maternity nurse at Providence Hospital,
and her husband Andrew long for a child of their own.
Leah herself is blocking the answer to her prayers and must
accept the inability to bear a child. With the wish of a
husband, Monica Fischer, a sanctimonious prude and daughter
of the pastor of a church, has strict expectations of
everyone and does not see the true Godly side of life until
she meets the most unlikely man to fall in love with. Last
but not least is Timmy Potter who desperately desires a
father. His mother, Jody, is unable to let go of the past
where she lost the husband and love of her life when Timmy
was but a baby. After missing 3 years, Jody secured a
divorce for monetary reasons. His body was found 5 years
later and identified. With undying love for her dead
husband, Jody cannot move forward without the intervention
of her "angel's" miracle.
What a beautiful story of faith and true love at the most
wonderful time of the year! Each woman has her unique
sorrow to bear but with the help of their own angel, life
becomes wonderful again. The angels themselves are a real
hoot with their individual little antics. This is such a
cute story it will stick in my mind for a long time and
give me chuckles and warm feelings with each thought. A do
not miss book! Debbie Macomber has again turned out a
beautiful winner!
A heartwarming story of love and joy about three angels who
are each given a prayer request to answer during the four
weeks before Christmas. But there's a catch: each angel must
teach her charge a memorable lesson before the wish is
granted. Reissued to coincide with release of the latest
sequel, "Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy."
