While a terrific stand alone read, the highly
talented Tessa Adams instantly pulls you into the world of
the ancient shape-shifter Dragonstar clan she created in
the first book in the Dragon's Heat Series, Dark
Embers, as
their rivals, the Wyvermoons continue to decimate them.
Adams has created an enthralling highly charged romance,
complete with strong characters, hot steaming sex and fast-
paced suspenseful action where no one is safe. The
plot's so realistic; you can't help but feel for the clan and
Quinn as they desperately try to fight off this
virulent bioterrorism. The author's technique of giving
the traitor's thoughts as part of moving the story forward
was also interesting. I can't wait to hear more about
highly fascinating clan, especially Logan's story, as I
was left hungering for more after reading this story and
the brief excerpt for the next book, Forbidden
Embers.
