When singer Dee Carmichaelone, one of Brett Kavanaugh's
tattoo customers, is found dead in a Las Vegas hotel room,
it is a tragedy. But when it is announced that she was found
surrounded by several tattoo supplies, including needles and
ink pots, and a woman matching Brett's description was
witnessed leaving the crime scene, well, things get just a
little more interesting!
When a blog is found on the internet showcasing the dead
client's tattoo, along with pictures of Brett as being the
blogger herself, Brett is soon profiled as the prime
suspect in the murder. Brett is frantic to find out who is
behind this blog because she knows it will lead her to the
real killer.
In INK FLAMINGOS, Karen E. Olson's fourth and final book in
her Tattoo Shop Mystery series, mistaken identities and
botched tattoos are the clues the intrepid heroine of the
series has to go on as she scurries to clear her name, and
the name of her high-end tattoo shop, The Painted Lady.
Brett is definitely a "murder magnet," and has managed to
solve many mysterious crimes since she has had her shop,
but this time, the focus is on her, and it's up to her
friends and colleagues to help her get out of trouble this
time around.
Olson has done a great job portraying in an unbiased manner
the world of tattooing. The world her character Brett
operates in does bring her the types of clients who like to
either live on the edge, or are in positions that place
them in the way of trouble, and Olson handles them with
great care and dignity. The character of Brett is very
intelligent and caring, and the supporting cast is always
interesting and varied. I hate to see this series end.
Dee Carmichael, lead singer of the pop sensation The
Flamingoes, has been one of Brett Kavanaugh\'s most dedicated
customers at her tattoo shop. When Dee is discovered dead
surrounded by ink pots and needles, Brett is branded a suspect.
It seems that someone is impersonating Brett. And if she
doesn\'t act fast, the killer is sure to put the dye in dying
once again...
