Romance Historical

Set in the Highlands of Scotland, Aidan MacLeod had always been fiercely protective of his younger brother, Lachlan. The details of Lachlan's birth were a well kept family secret. After all, even Lachlan's father could not accept the truth about his son. When Lachlan was eight years old, his own father attempted to take his life. Ever since then, Aidan proclaimed himself his brother's protector.

After his father's death, Aidan became Laird and father figure to Lachlan, who grew up to be a spoiled womanizer. Lachlan had always been the center of Aidan's attention until the mysterious and lovely Syrena arrived. Syrena claimed to have no memory of her identity or her family. Due to her lavish manner of dress, Aidan assumed she was a member of the nobility. Syrena was in fact a Princess of a distant realm called The Enchanted Isles -- the home of fairies.

After Syrena's father, King Arwan, was murdered, Syrena was entrusted with the kingdom until she could locate her father's missing son. Years before, King Arwan had seduced a mortal woman who gave birth to a son. Now it is up to Syrena to find that son and convince him to accept his role as King of The Enchanted Isles. But Syrena's attempt to convince her brother, Lachlan, to return to The Enchanted isles proves futile. Although Lachlan recalls the origins of his birth, he scorns the faes, who mortals consider evil and dangerous.

Aidan is aghast at Lachlan's harsh behavior towards Syrena, especially when he begins to fall hopelessly in love with her. Syrena and Aidan must work together to find Lachlan when they discover that Lachlan may have fallen into the hands of mortals attempting to unleash dangerous magic that threatens both mortals and the faes.

I'm not typically a fan of novels involving fairies, but Debbie Mazzuca created a hypnotizing world of fairies and magic that captivated me from beginning to end. As you lose yourself in the book, the faes will transport you to a world full of vivid characters and evil villains. If you are looking for a tender romance with a spark of magic, WARRIOR OF THE ISLES with enchant you!
