Museum curator Piper Chase-Pierpont stumbles across a diary
written by abolitionist Ophelia Harrington, also
known as The Blackbird. The diary details her life as a well
trained Courtesan and a woman who managed to live the way
she wanted, and her relationship with the masked man known
only as Sir who held her heart and taught her what she
knows. Piper becomes engrossed in Ophelia's life and soon
learns that what history tells of Ophelia is wrong, and she
must decide what to do about correcting it.
Mick Malloy reenters Piper's life to work at the
museum. She wonders if she can use what she has
read in the diary to get Mick's attention or will he just
look right through her as he did in the past.
While Piper works her magic on Mick, she learns more and
more about Ophelia and her life, including what made her
become a courtesan and what made her run from London to
Boston.
Ms. Bradley and Ms. Donovan bring their two worlds,
Historical and Contemporary, together and have done an
amazing job. A COURTESAN'S GUIDE TO GETTING YOUR MAN is
like getting two books in one as it alternates between
Piper's story and Ophelia's. So sensual and erotic,
it will get your heart racing. You will be unable to put it
down until the very end to see what happens to Ophelia as
well as Piper. This book held my attention and kept me
turning the pages until I finished. Job well done to
both authors on a book that will remain on the keeper shelf
and will be read again and again. This is definitely a story
that will never get old.
Regency London's most celebrated courtesan, The Blackbird,
was a woman before her time–uninhibited, financially
independent, and free to live by her own rules. Schooled in
the sensual arts by the one man she loved the most, she
recorded every wicked detail in her diaries...
When Boston museum curator Piper Chase-Pierpont unearths
The Blackbird's steamy memoirs, she's aroused and
challenged by what she finds. Could the courtesan's diaries
be used as a modern girl's guide to finding love and
empowerment? One curious curator–and one very lucky man–are
about to find out...
