This is the real life story of two of wrestling's legends
told by Joe "Animal" Laurinaitis himself. Being a big
wrestling fan in my younger days, I certainly recognized who
these men were and the importance of having their story
told. I am pleased I got the chance to read
this story, which is told from the inside. It is always
interesting to find out what makes people tick and what
makes a person become what they are and why.
There is so much to enjoy in this book from the stories
about meeting other wrestlers in the business, and the
trails and gains of the Road Warriors. Fans will not be
disappointed in this book. Joe Laurinaitis bares it all in
this biography of one of the most famous and dominating tag
teams to ever grace the ring. He talks about many famous
matches and their travels from one wrestling facet to
another and back. Not only is Joe Laurinaitis a great
wrestler but he is also a great man who loves not only the
sport he helped make famous but his family as well. In the
end the reader walks away with a better perception and a
better understanding of the men known as the Road Warriors
and their lives.
Seeing many famous wrestlers in this book was a treat and
finding out about some of what goes on behind the scenes
made for an interesting story. Watching these two young men
go from beginners to heavy hitters in the wrestling world
was something. This book tells it like it is-- letting the
reader inside the wrestling world, from how the Road
Warriors met to how they decided on their gimmick, and
letting people see the men behind the roles that they play
on television. If you are a Road Warrior fan or even just a
wrestling fan you will enjoy reading The ROAD
WARRIORS: DANGER, DEATH, AND THE RUSH OF WRESTLING.
