Station Five firefighters welcome back one of their own.
Captain Sean Tanner has just returned to work after a stay
in an alcohol rehabilitation center. He knows he has a lot
of making up to do after a breakdown that ended one of his
guy's career as a firefighter.
Sean also knows he has to take one day at a time, but when
he sees Eve Marshall, the only female on his crew, he
starts to realize his life might be worth living. Only now
that he is sober does he realize he has been attracted to
Eve for quite some time. And he doesn't need to feel guilty
anymore that his marriage was in trouble when his wife was
killed in a car accident.
Someone calls Sean and asks him to consider that his
family's accident might not have been an accident after
all. Someone is messing with him. This person knows his
weaknesses and plays them out hoping to bring Sean down,
but when his back is up against the wall and someone he
loves is in danger, Sean becomes the man he was before the
tragedy and does what he does best -- save people.
Jo Davis continues her steamy, heat-packed romantic
suspense stories with RIDE THE FIRE. This book is a great
blend of hot romance with suspenseful, well-plotted action.
Firefighters have tough jobs, they get hot, and Ms. Davis
knows how to spin a story about a hot firefighter.
After he lost his wife and children to tragedy, Capt. Sean
Tanner drowned his pain with alcohol. Now, fresh from
rehab, he wants to regain the trust of his team and begin
again. The last thing he needs is to have feelings for
beautiful firefighter Eve Marshall. But even as they dare
to explore their growing desire, Sean learns that his
family may have actually been murdered. And that a shadow
from his past has returned to finish off Sean-and anyone
he loves.
