Life is just getting back to normal for Cindy Preston. At
Easter, she discovered a dead body in the church sanctuary
where she works as secretary. It was only the first of
several bodies to be found from the trail of a serial
killer. The Rabbi next door, Jeremiah, actually murdered
the serial killer when the killer kidnapped Cindy. What a
series of events!
Now it's almost Thanksgiving, and Cindy finds herself
feeling a little déjà vu. She walks in on another dead body
in the office of a friend's house. She is there for a
charity function trying to help out. The function is
matching dogs from an animal shelter with homeless people
in an effort to help them take some pride in caring for the
animal, and in turn, try to better themselves.
After a couple of the homeless people who received dogs
turn up dead, with their dogs missing, the police believe
they have another serial killer on the loose. As more dead
bodies are found and more dogs go missing, Cindy tries to
put all the pieces together in an effort to help solve this
mystery and these murders.
For someone who doesn't like to take risks, Cindy becomes a
high stakes risk-taker. As she enlists Jeremiah's help to
solve the crimes, will he have to be the hero again and
save her once more?
You'll love the funny predicaments in which Cindy finds
herself in this second book in Viguie's Psalm 23 Mystery
series. An inspirational story that weaves charity, crime
and humor together beautifully, you'll enjoy this read.
Cindy, a church secretary, and Jeremiah, a Reformed
rabbi, find themselves immersed in another mystery. After
taking down a serial killer at Easter their alliance
should have ended, but the two form a friendship,
exploring personal history and faith.
