Mystery Woman Sleuth | Mystery Amateur Sleuth | Mystery Private Eye

Lucy Valentine's new business, Lost Loves, specializes in helping people find the ones that they loved and lost. Working out of her father's matchmaking office, Lucy finds her services as a Lost Love Locator are beginning to take off.

The secret to her success is that Lucy can visualize a missing person's whereabouts by touching the hand of the client who is searching, and seeing an object that belonged to the one who is being sought. As with her family's secret ability to see auras around people and use this gift to make love matches, Lucy keeps her own special ability hushed except for a few select friends.

When Lucy is approached once again by Detective Aiden Holliday to help with a missing person case, Lucy finds that her locating skills may have her tracking a murderer instead of a lost loved one. This time, she may find herself in a predicament she can't wiggle out of.

In the second Lucy Valentine novel, DEEPLY, DESPERATELY, Heather Webber continues the exhilarating story of the Valentine family and their magical gifts. While the main story is of Lucy's attempt to clear an innocent man of murder, there are several side stories that intermingle to keep the action moving along at a fast clip. Lucy and private investigator Sean Donahue's relationship is being hijacked by a conniving ex-girlfriend. Lucy and journalist Preston Bailey continue their back and forth sniping, not to mention the little secret Preston is keeping from Lucy. Lucy's worries about her father and his secret romances. Her best friend Em's upcoming nuptials look as if they are about to be derailed. As if that weren't enough, there is Lucy's dynamic and feisty grandmother Dovie's attempts to get great-grandchildren out of her single granddaughter.

There is a whole lot going on in this book, but Webber manages to weave everything together to create a fascinating and magical story that leaves the reader wanting more. Luckily, there will be more Valentine stories to come, as Webber completes the third book in the series. Anticipation will be high for the next story of Lucy and her escapades.

SUMMARY

Lucy wants to breath new life into her family's Boston-based matchmaking company. But how? Even though she comes from a long line of ancestors blessed by Cupid with psychic abilities, a freak accident left Lucy with only one special skill: finding things. Car keys, socks in the dryer, needles in haystacks... and now, in a stroke of professional genius, lost loves!

It's not long before Lucy's on a winning streak, helping old flames reunite and create new sparks. Business is booming. But when Lucy finds herself involved in a possible case of murder, she realized she's in too deep. Enter Sean Donahue. Lucy's handsome fire-fighter-turned-private eye neighbor, Sean is just the man she needs to help her on the job. Could he also be the man she's been looking for all along? When it comes to Valentine, Inc., falling in love is always serious business...
